Tony Sheard, representing the Southampton Rotary, presented a cheque for $1,000 to the local seniors' Chantry Centre on Tuesday, May 10.

"As you know, the Rotary does a lot in the community and helps out many groups and initiatives," said Sheard.  "Admittedly, it's very rare that we specifically focus on seniors.  This however, was an opportunity for our organization to expand our demographic work in the community."

The Centre is in need of lightweight portable tables and, therefore, the recent donation will go toward their purchase.
