I totally agree with the letter written on "Meals on Wheel's"  I have been involved with this program and it sometimes isn't all about the meal, but the fact that someone can check in on a person and have contact when they otherwise do not have it.
 
One hot meal a day may last for 2 days and when someone can't or is unable to cook for themselves, this is a much needed service.
 
Too many people in this area make way too much money to be criticizing this program, when there are so many people that depend on this program. Maybe they should volunteer their time.
 
I, too agree that restaurants will not pick up this as there are way too many restrictions that the Meal on Wheels Program always cared about.
 

It is a shame that the good programs have to see a end which should not. We are a increasing society of taking care of ourselves and not that of people in need.
