Fire broke out at The Guest House Inn on Hwy. 21 in Southampton on Monday morning (May 16). Both fire departments, Southampton and Port Elgin, responded in full force as Saugeen Shores Police closed the highway and ordered everyone off the property. The owner assured the firefighters that everyone had been evacuated from the Inn. Thick smoke blew in over the town and the cause of the fire is yet unknown.
