The Victoria Day Weekend or May 24th Weekend, is the unofficial harbinger of the summer season. It also ushers in another year of yard and garage sales as hundreds bargain-hunters search for a deal.

The money represent proceeds from the six shows performed by the group at Bean's Bistro in downtown Kincardine. This is the most ever made at a BROACH'DD show, and it was fitting since "Something Old, Something New" was the group's swan song.

Originating in 2007 as a spin-off of the Kincardine Theatre Guild production, "Fashion Fever," the group has been raising money for various charities in the community for the past four years.

BROACH'DD was created by Cheryl MacDonald as a vehicle by which older, more seasoned performers could mentor younger singers and musicians.
