Come 'n' get 'em!  Young entrepreneurs offering hot dogs proved too difficult for most to land their craft

As luck would have it, Mother Nature once again cooperated as the sun suddenly came out for the annual Saugeen River raft 'race' on Sunday, May 22nd.

Hundreds boarded homemade rafts, canoes, kayaks, boats, rubber dingies ... almost anything that floated, to spend the afternoon floating down the river as they have for generations in the Saugeen Shores area.

It has become a tradition held every long weekend in May (May 24) and is the unofficial kick-off to summer in an area known as a tourist destination.
