Once again, plans are under way for the Old Diggers Mushball Tournament on July 8-10 weekend. Contact Mike Catto at 519-368-7699 to put in a team. The Ladies Ball organization is planning to put up a ‘picnic shelter’ located between the ball diamonds to help with accessibility and tournaments. If anyone would like to donate to the cause, please contact Kelly Brown at 519-368-5690. The Tiverton Baptist Church's 156th Anniversary services are at 11 a.m. and 7 pm. on Sunday, June 5. Special speaker is John Bennett, Director of Faith Mission. Music for the morning service will be provided by John Hopper, and for the evening service by Lynda Janzen and Liz Dadson. There will be a lunch following the morning service and refreshments following the evening service. All are most welcome! Attention Tiverton Gardeners! Our planting day is scheduled for Saturday, June 4. Call Laurie Convay at 519-368-7980 to volunteer. WMS The May meeting of the Tiverton Women's Missionary Society (WMS) was held Wednesday, May 18, in the church activity room with June Mackenzie presiding. She welcomed everyone to the meeting and read a poem, "Why Did God Make Mothers?" The hymn, "Take Time to Be Holy," was sung. Jean Dent conducted the devotion, "Stay for a Few Days."

The roll call was answered by a Mother and Daughter verse from the Bible. The topic, Refugees in Canada, was presented by Alberta Smith. The next meeting of the WMS will be held Wednesday, June 8, at 2 p.m., with June Mackenzie presiding. There will be a quest speaker at this meeting. The roll call is a verse on friendship.
