Bring your favourite family pet and join the Tiverton Lions for their annual Lions Foundation of Canada Purina Walk for Dog Guides, Sunday, May 29, at the Whitney Crawford Community Centre Annex in Tiverton. Registration begins at 12:30 p.m., and the walk starts at 1 p.m. Thanks to generous sponsors, 100 per cent of the funds raised go directly toward providing Dog Guides at no cost to people with disabilities. There are substantial prizes to be won for fund-raising. Raise $200 and receive a water bottle, and an entry into a draw for two VIA Rail tickets to travel anywhere within the Windsor-Quebec corridor. Raise $750 and receive a sling bag, and an entry into a draw for a two-night stay at any one of the Delta hotel locations across Canada. Raise $1,500 and receive a spring jacket, plus entry into a draw for a year's supply of pet food, courtesy of Nestle Purina PetCare. Raise $5,000 and receive a beach bundle. And raise $10,000-plus and receive a Dog Guide travel points voucher toward your net trip. The Lions Foundation of Canada trains five different types of Dog Guides to help Canadians with disabilities:
