Second Kincardine hospital lottery under way next week |

The second Kincardine hospital lottery gets under way next week. Tickets go on sale June 1 at Malcolm Place Retirement Residence on Durham Street, Kincardine. "This is a one-day event," says Diane Baldwin, co-ordinator and treasurer of the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation and chairperson of the lottery."Members of the foundation will be selling tickets from 1- 8 p.m., and myFM Radio will be live on location." After the launch date, tickets will be available at Malcolm Place, The Co-operators, Jerome Flowers, Montgomery Ford and the hospital foundation office, said Baldwin. Tickets are $100 each or three for $250. The main lottery draw will be held Sept. 17, with an Early Bird draw scheduled for Aug. 18. The grand prize is a 2012 V-6 Ford convertible Mustang, with a striping package (retail value approximately $42,000), provided by Montgomery Ford. Baldwin says the complete prize board is worth about $80,000-plus, including prizes donated by local businesses, several cash prizes and free tickets (for a second chance at winning). "We appreciate all the businesses that have donated to our 2011 lottery," she says, "including myFM Radio; Enbridge; Davidson Centre; Wal-Mart; Canadian Tire; Robert Q Travel and Globus Canada; Sobeys; Kincardine Country Depot; South Bruce Grey Health Centre - Kincardine Auxiliary; Kincardine Hearing Clinic; Instyle Hair Studio; Scotiabank; Bluewater Summer Playhouse, Kincardine Physician’s Group, Lake Huron Videos and Books, NA Engineering Associates Inc. and Julia's Health & Beauty Spa. Also, thanks to Montgomery Ford for supplying our vehicles for our 2010 and 2011 Lottery."
