The Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation held its fifth annual appreciation night Tuesday night (May 31) at the Kincardine hospital site.

Several groups and organizations were recognized for their donations, many of which have been consistent and cumulative over the years.

The Clothes Hamper Foundation presented a cheque for $8,000. The money is raised through the Clothes Hamper which sells gently-used clothing with the help of many dedicated volunteers.

The group has made donations to the hospital foundation since 1996, for a total of more than $129,520 (Benefactor Category which is $50,000-plus). Donations have gone toward a bone density machine, analyzer, mammogram, X-ray equipment, and building funds.

The Quilters of Aintree are a group of ladies who spend their summers every year at Aintree Trailer Park. They get together to make beautiful quilts and they sell raffle tickets and donate the proceeds to the hospital foundation. They have raised more than $5,200 (Supporter Category which is $5,000 to $9,999).

The Kincardine Erie Belle Old Stars Hockey Club presented a cheque to the hospital foundation. This group has donated more than $9,662 (Supporter Category which is $5,000 to $9,999). Donations have gone toward a bone density machine, analyzer, mammogram, and building funds.
