Run4Health on Sunday, Sept. 25th, 2011 will include a 10-kilometre run, 5-kilometre walk/run, and 1-kilometre family walk/run through the picturesque Walkerton area.

Awards for this chip-timed event will be presented to the top male and female finishers in both the 10K and 5K, and to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in each age category for both races. Every participant who crosses the finish line will receive a medal.

"This run is an exciting event for Walkerton to host'" says event co-chair Dennis Ruetz. "Not only are we raising money for the Walkerton & District Hospital Foundation but we’re promoting a healthy lifestyle for children and their families."

On-line registrations are now being accepted at www.run4health.ca. Registration fees are $40 for the 10K, $35 for the 5K, and $10 for the 1K. The first 300 participants to register for the 10K and 5K will receive a Tech shirt, while the first 100 participants who sign up for the 1K will be given a cotton shirt. In addition, anyone who registers before Sept. 15th will save $5.

"We are urging everyone to get involved in Run4Health. It’s going to be a fun day for the whole community,|" says Ruetz, noting the day will include refreshments, music and prizes.
