Almost 70 children were dressed in costume, complete with hair styled and make-up applied, for the 20th anniversary Just Dancin' spring recital for instructor Trish Hutter, held Friday night at Huron Heights Public School, Kincardine. The dress rehearsal was held Thursday night, allowing media a chance to take pictures and organizers to iron out a few glitches in the show. Hutter is pleased to stage her 20th recital, given that she broke her leg in November last year. However, the program carried on, with help from former dancers and parents. The dancers range in age from three to 17, including: Kinders - Melania Gigger, Sabrina McKee,Lorelai Moreau-Dalpee, Anna Pfeffer, Emma Stade, Isabel Ulak, Hayley Courtney, Mikayla Galina, Kayley Hegmans, Hayley Johnson, Cara Middelkamp, Layla Moffatt and Hannah Brandon. Five- and six-year-olds - Danielle Bacon, Paige Ebben, Hailey Farrell, Grace Ferrier, Arwen Hitchcock, Kaitlyn Kirkconnell, Cheyanne Liddle, Kylie Nesbitt, Shanelle Paguirigan, Maya Pfeffer, Sophia Fuller, Harleen Gill, Abigail Hegmans, Ran Hinchberger, Hailey Pawliw, Lydia Ritchie, Pankti Shah and Allison Hillbig. Seven- to nine-year-olds - Caterina Casciano, Elizabeth Casciano, Julia Ferrier, Allyssa McKee, Jeanelle Paguirigan, Sadie Pollock, Makayla Roberts, Hanna Mae Stewart, Jessica Wall, Samantha Castillo, Sheetal Gill, Bryn Holmes, Dakota Johnston, Louisa Matheson, Liane Mercanti, Morgan Ritchie and Kairi Alexander. Juniors (10- to 12-year-olds) - Erika Ebben, Catherine Hazzard, Kalra Priyanka, Robyn Mercanti, Keira Hazzard, Lucy Matheson, Paige Mercanti and Kimberley Wilson. Seniors (14- to 17-year-olds) - Avery Lafortune, Maxine Pasley, Sabine Pasley, Tawny Robinson, Janelle Taylor, Jill Ryder, Sara Cavasotto, Cassidy Heydon, Kelly Johnson, Cailyn McKay, Taylor Pollard and Allison Wilson. The girls performed in a variety of dances, from Sugar Plum Fairies and Chinese Dragons to Gramma's Feather Bed and the Four Muskateers. The show ended with a finale and presentations. Dance classes are held Mondays and Thursdays.
