Kirsten 'Kat' McMillan is not the least afraid of snakes or turtles or lizards and, in fact, has many as pets.

As part of the summer learning program held at the Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre in Southampton, she will be presenting and explaining what she finds beautiful in them and why they should be protected and not feared.

"A healthy respect is a good thing," says 'Kat', "but there really is no need to fear many of these harmless creatures."
