Mike and Marg McLeod's garden is one of several on this year's 2011 Garden Tour in Saugueen. The couple's corner lot on Grosvenor Street in Southampton features a variety of mini-gardens on two levels.
An 'oriental' flair A central garden at the rear of the home has an oriental flair while stepping stones lead to a border garden that surrounds the back edge of the property. Each of the nine gardens in Southampton and Port Elgin is chosen for its uniqueness and variety and the tour, sponsored by the Southport Horticultural Society, has become a popular event every summer. This year's Tour on July 2nd runs from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 and are available at Bayberry's in Southampton, Shoreline Stone & Garden Centre, Beagle Run Nursery and Ralph's Hi-way Shopette in Port Elgin.
