It was easy to pick out Don Cherry in the crowd because of his "loud" jacket, but some of the lesser-known famous Canadians were not so easy to determine as the Grades 6/7 class at Kincardine Township-Tiverton Public School hosted a wax museum Thursday. Teacher Janis Blackwell said each student selected a famous Canadian and researched that individual. The day of the wax museum, the students came dressed as their individuals and had to stand in place until visiting students and parents clapped three times to "activate" the wax statues. Once they came alive, each statue gave a history of the life of his/her famous Canadian. The statues depicted such historic figures as artist Emily Carr, politician Rosemary Brown (NDP) and Laura Secord, as well as today's popular stars, comedian Jim Carrey, hockey player Wayne Gretzky, and singing sensation Justin Bieber.
