The Society of Energy Professionals Bruce Power Local Community Foundations Fund generously donated $10,000 towards top priority Telemetry Monitoring equipment needs.

(L to R):  Society of Energy Professionals: Ken Martin and Paul Czuczman donate a generous $10,000 towards telemetry monitors to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation: Mary Ann Weickert, Christine Kelly and Don MacIntyre

Two portable telemetry monitors, valued at $40,000, are required for the Southampton ER. This equipment will replace the current stationery telemetry monitor and purchase an additional one required due to demand, both with connectivity to systems in the ER.

Bruce County’s leading cause of death is by heart disease. Cardiac patients in our community will benefit from this new technology by providing access to cardiac monitoring in a rural hospital facility. Early identification of the heart issue will allow the patient to be directed to the appropriate level of care. Portable monitors allow patient mobility while being monitored and provide increased comfort.

The Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation thanks the Society of Energy Professionals for helping to keep healthcare close to home for our community.

(L to R):  Mary Ann Weickert and John Van Bastelaar receive a $500 cheque for the Rotary Huron Shore Run from the Society of Energy Professionals: Paul Czuczman and Ken Martin

The Society also presented a donation for the annual Rotary Huron Shore Run that was held in Southampton in June.
