Piper's Glen Golf of Port Elgin makes offer to Owen Sound golfers left out in the cold |

The recent news that the Owen Sound Golf & Country Club has gone into receivership took the local golf world by surprise. According to sources, the club, that is volunteer driven, is $1.2 million in debt.
Glen Massey, CPGA Golf Pro of Piper's Glen CPGA Golf Pro and Manager of Piper's Glen Golf Course in Port Elgin, Glen Massey, said that he had been speaking to the Owen Sound Club Manager, Bob Nichols and has offered to help out members who have currently paid their dues. Piper's Glen will be offering Owen Sound Club members a one-month membership for unlimited golf for $130 each (+HST). "We hope that this enables the members to continue golfing throughout the better part of the summer for a reasonable cost," says Massey.
