"A massage therapist's scope of practice focuses on muscles and joints, and affects other systems in the body, notably circulation, lymphatics and the nervous and endocrine systems," says Gayle. "You'll enjoy noticeable differences from treatments, whether on an occasional basis or in the form of a series of treatments over a shorter period of time when you are in particular need. My clients says that they feel both relaxed and energized by the experience and calmer and less stressed afterward. Many report they have their best sleep that night, or even several nights after receiving a massage therapy treatment."
Gayle also points out that an individual's relationship with an RMT should be an interactive one. "I want feedback from my clients so that we work together to provide the best treatment and treatment plan to suit individual needs. It truly is an learning experience for both."
