But it needs to improve it's efficiency. When it takes 2 weeks for a sympathy card to be delivered to a neighbour and 3 weeks for a parcel from Toronto there is definitely room for improvement!

We do not need postal  service everything we have is done  over the internet or automatically  deposited. Everyone else will have to  adapt.

For the seniors that do not want to change or  have no want to buy a computer.

Currently it is the only way (other  than internet) to receive the weekly  flyers. Maybe we could return to  paperboys (girls)

How else am I gonna send parcels to my  great nieces & nephews in U.K. and  Australia?

How would bills parcels and junk mail  get delivered without Canada Post?

It is fine getting ebills but we use  our paper and ink (if we print off)  and the company saves paper envelope  stamp and labour and it all goes into  their coffers. Share the savings with  the customer!

might as well keep the service as we  will pay for it anyway....

Not necessary in today's electronic  world even wedding invitations are  being sent electronically Purlator  FedEx UPS etc. are much more reliable  if you need packages sent.

Of course we do and the question almost seems ridiculous. People don't just mail text and pictures that can be transmitted digitally after all.

Of course we need the postal  service not everyone has computors  and it is great to see people at the  post office with a job.

Our taxes certainly wouldn't go down  if they closed the Post Office. The  government would just think of some  other reason to keep the tax rate the  same but delete the good service that  Canada Post provides to all citizens  of Canada. It would be very hard on a  lot of people living in remote areas  if there was no Canada Post.

Private companies do a better faster job its not an important service anymore stop killing trees and get your bills online.

Save money!! Shutdown Canada Post and  the United States post office. It's  like watching a single channel on a  black white tube television in a  generation that can watch tv in the  palm of their hands via phone.

sORRY BUT i FEEL THAT WE CAN'T AFFORD  THE ABILITY TO WRITE A LETTER. IT  MAKES A PERSON FEEL SO MUCH CLOSER AND  CAN BE KEPT FOR SENTIMENTAL VALUE IF  SO DESIRED.

The postal system is very slow not dependable and goes on strike for higher wages while they are making a good wage in the first place. Most people can do their banking on line anymore. Canada Post has done it to themselves!!

There are enough other shipping  options that makes Canada Post  obsolete and overpriced!

We certainly do need Postal Service.
