Changes to the food service and housekeeping programs at the Kincardine and Walkerton sites of the South Bruce Grey Health Centre begin next month. These changes have already been implemented at Chesley and Durham hospitals. July 1 is the last day of operation for the Kincardine and Walkerton Cafés and Kincardine Catering. In Kincardine, vending service will be temporarily located in the Meeting Room, and in Walkerton, near the old Family Health Team Area. The new meal delivery service (Cart Creations) will be implemented on July 4 and 5 in Kincardine and on July 6 and 7 in Walkerton. Housekeeping will begin new schedule rotations at this time as well. Asbestos abatement will begin on July 18, affecting Walkerton café and food service areas. However, these will already have been temporarily relocated to the old Family Health Team area. We hope for a smooth transition and thank all staff for their patience. If you have any questions please contact jvanmanen@sbghc.on.ca or cclark@sbghc.on. The health centre also held its annual meeting June 22 in Kincardine, and the board was told that the centre is in a good financial position and had a surplus this year.
