Bonnie and Irene Boyle attended their church picnic in Goderich on Sunday.

Shirley and Doug MacDonald hosted a birthday party for their grandchildren on Friday. A good time was had by all. Holly and Ian and Lochlan of Lloydminster, Alberta, visited with his family for a few days. Sunday, everyone attended the annual MacDonald picnic at Lions Park in Point Clark.

Rebecca Gell of Kyrbram, Australia, spent a few days with Fran and Jim Farrell as part of an Organic Co-operative Exchange. Rebecca is the ambassador for True Organics in Australia and is the herd manager of a 700-cow dairy at Wyuna. Much information was shared between them regarding organic certification and practices. It was interesting to note that most of our regulations are the same and that the demand for organic products is continually growing. Carmen Farrell took Rebecca touring Tobermory and the Bruce Peninsula Monday. Tuesday, they met with Jenny Butcher of Organic Meadow, and Rebecca will continue visiting on farms in Eastern Ontario.

Fran, Jim and Carmen visited with Derk and Lillian Logtenberg Sunday afternoon and in the evening with Carolyn and Rob Farrell and family.

After such a great bridal shower honouring Erin Armstrong at the Ripley Legion, the Purple Grove ladies are planning a combined bridal shower for Becca Bridge, Christine Clifford and Gabrielle Finnie at Purple Grove Aug. 13.
