Congratulations to Chris and Monty VandeSype on the birth of their new baby boy on June 22nd - Cooper Raymond - a brother for Tyson and grandson for Jim and Fran Farrell. We extend our sympathy to the family of Helen MacGregor whose funeral was on Saturday at the Ashfield Presbyterian Church. St. Andrew's United Church celebrated its 125th anniversary service with Rev. Cathy Haird guest speaker and special music from Susan Rymen. In the evening the BBQ Ham supper was delicious and well-attended. Largaret and Karen McInnes visited with Linda and Ken Graham at Oakville. Linda, Karen and Largaret attended the 100th birthday for Myrtle Johnstone of Campbellford on Saturday. Congratulations to HuronTel on 100 years of business in Ripley and area. The celebration barbecue was on Saturday with good attendance. Earl and June Elliott, along with Paul and Nancy Greenwood, enjoyed a lovely lunch followed with a tour of the new Retirement Life Communities, a part of Goderich Place in Goderich. Saturday, Earl and June with Joyce Farrell attended the 50th wedding anniversary celebration for his cousin, Beverly and Dan Tollessen, at Alma. Great to have the family home, Doug and Shirley MacDonald spent the weekend with Sheena Houghton, William, Alyna and Ethan from Standford, Michigan, Mike and Stefani Simpson of Chateaugay, New York, Ian, Holly and Lockland MacDonald of Lloydminster, Alberta , Meghan and Arik MacDonald and Ryan Knight and Alex MacDonald. Bette McLeod enjoyed a lovely afternoon visit with Betty Henderson at RVilla. Mary Anne Kukoly celebrated a belated third birthday for Broden Forster at the home of his parents, Donna Jean and Jesse Lee, in Goderich. Also attending were brother Curran and grandmother Sandra Forster.

Congratulations
to the folks of Kincardine, Lucknow and Ripley area who were honoured
at the 25th anniversary of the Ontario Volunteer Service Awards.
Celebrations were held at the OSCVI in Owen Sound Friday evening for
the Bruce and Grey Area.
Sunday, many from the area gathered at Goderich to honour Helen (Godfrey) and Reg Riehl on their 50th wedding anniversary. Attending from our area were Mary Black, Nancy and Paul Greenwood and Mary Anne Kukoly and the Smeltzer family.
