Youth leaders, volunteers, helpers and the students of the Summer Slam Day Camp in Tiverton gather for a group shot in the Tiverton Baptist Church before performing for the students' parents and families Thursday afternoon

It was gloriously hot and dry for the Summer Slam Day Camp held all week at the Tiverton Baptist Church.

About 40 children, ages four to 11, enjoyed the activities led by Mike and Tanya Houser and their high school youth group team from Compass Point Bible Church in Burlington, including games, crafts, songs, lessons, and snacks.

Also helping out were several adults and youth from Tiverton Baptist Church.

The week culminated with a performance for the children's parents and families Thursday afternoon, followed by a hot dog lunch. The camp wrapped up with a final session of fun and activities Friday morning.

This is the 10th year the Housers and their team have conducted the camp in Tiverton.

Youth leader "Boo" (a.k.a. Emily Johnson) joins Summer Slam Day Camp student Kelton Boylan, 6, of Simcoe as he enjoys his hot dog. Kelton was at the Tiverton event while vacationing with his grandpa, Fred Gibson
