Four awards were presented Friday, July 15, at the closing ceremonies of the sixth annual Bruce Grey MedQUEST Health Careers Exploration Camp, held at Victoria Jubilee Hall, Walkerton.

The Counsellors' Award went to Rachel Lamont of Sacred Heart High School. The award goes to a student who demonstrates a commitment to health care as displayed through his/her actions and written statements.

The Patch Adams Award was presented to Chris Stoner of Saugeen District Secondary School. This award goes to a student whose friendly nature, positive attitude and enthusiasm for the MedQUEST program made an impact on the camp as a whole.

The Team Challenge Award went to Katelyn Reid of Kincardine District Secondary School, Chloe Lark of Walkerton District Secondary School, Brooke McConnell of St. Mary's High School, Jesse Chen of Kincardine District Secondary School, and Kira Mortimer of John Diefenbaker Secondary School. This award is presented to the team that completed the Clinical Case Diagnosis with the most points based on the number of correct answers, the time it took the team to figure out the solution, appropriate resource allocation, and having ruled out life-threatening conditions.

The Director's Award was presented to Allison Mohr of Kincardine District Secondary School. This award recognizes a student who demonstrates exceptional leadership skills and the qualities of a health care professional.
