After finishing second in the Kincardine Minor Soccer league, the Remax Under-8 soccer team had a great tournament, winning three of four games and securing the 'C' Division Championship. The first game Thursday evening saw Remax facing New Orlean's and taking a 5-1 win with goals coming from Emma Mwasalla (2), Jordan Beisel (1), Dakota Condie (1) and Sam Castillo (1), and assists to Riley Colhoun, Aubrey Alers and Beisel. Game number two Friday evening was a tough loss to the Ripley Get Crackin' squad. The final score was 9-1 with Remax's lone goal coming from Beisel. Saturday morning brought sunshine and a 4-1 win for Remax over McDonald's. Beisel completed a hat-trick and Castillo added one of her own, with assists from Mwasalla and Julia Ferrier. The team's final game was a wet one as the rain moved in but did not dampen the team's spirit as Remax blanked Sobey's, 6-0. Goals came from Beisel (5) and Alers (1), with assists from Colhoun, Mwasalla and Beisel. Three players received a little extra recognition from the Remax coaches at the awards ceremony. Jordan Beisel was chosen "Most Valuable Player" for being a real team leader and team player and for his impressive 41 goals over the season. Bernard Kapo was chosen "Most Improved Player" and it was well-earned with the huge leaps in his skills over the season. There was a tough decision for the coaches when deliberating for "Most Sportsmanlike Player" as there were three young ladies who really displayed team spirit and sportsmanlike conduct. These were Riley Colhoun, Aubrey Alers and Julia Ferrier, with the award going to Colhoun. On a personal note, it has been a pleasure to sit on the sidelines with coaches Faith Mwasalla and Cassandra Bacon. I think I can speak for all the Remax parents in saying that these two ladies were fabulous in their capacity as coaches and they truly created a team.

![]() This year's Remax squad played as a team, won as a team and lost as a team, the efforts of every player were recognized and every player played. It is obvious that the kids enjoyed playing this year and that is in no small part credited to Faith and Cassandra. So, a huge thank you to both of you! Also a huge thanks to Remax Land Exchange Ltd. for sponsoring the team. Scrolling stops when you move your mouse inside the scroll area. You can click on the ads for more
