Now the summer seems to be moving just too quickly! We are counting the weeks to our special 150th annual Tiverton Fall Fair.

If you haven't accessed the Fair Book on our website, www.tivertonagsociety.com, here is a brief summary of just a few of the planned activities and events.

  • All exhibitors will have a chance to win $25, $50, $75, $100, or $150 at a random 150th Anniversary Draw to be held Sunday evening during the dinner
  • Each cattle exhibitor will receive $150 if he/she features four purebred of one breed, both sexes and provides proof of registration. One exhibit per farm
  • Rock climbing wall - Sports Centre
  • Classic championship wrestling - Sports Centre, Sunday
  • Toughest, dirtiest tractor (but still kickin') competition - People's Choice
  • Golf cart challenge. The agricultural society is challenging Kincardine council to see who can drive a golf cart blindfolded, with navigation being supplied by a teammate. The contestants will be timed and points taken off for pylons knocked down
  • Elvis impersonator, Peter Irwin - Whitney Crawford Community Centre, Sunday
  •  Fire Department will demonstrate the "Jaws of Life" plus ...
  • Moo Nick Lick, simulated cow. If you have never milked a cow, here's your chance to try it
  • Petting Zoo tent
  • Roast Beef/Honey Glazed Ham dinner closing the Fair on Sunday evening.

Please remember to bring non-perishable food items with "best before" date valid, in lieu of an admission fee. Or money directed to the Tiverton Agricultural Society would be greatly appreciated.

Also, we are requesting volunteers to help out with the following: the Petting Zoo, dress up as clowns (outfits provided) and be in the parade or help with the clean-up Sunday evening at the Tiverton Sports Centre before the BBQ. Contact Dianne Todd at 519-368-7114.

See you at the Fair!
