It was an exciting afternoon at the Kincardine hospital meeting room yesterday (Aug. 18), as members of the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation drew the Early Bird winners in the second annual hospital lottery.

Those 75 winners each received a free hospital lottery ticket, with the main draw set for Sept. 17 at Malcolm Place Retirement Residence, Kincardine.

Sarah Chaput of BDO in Kincardine was at the Early Bird draw to ensure accountability of the event.

There are more than $80,000 in prizes to be won in the hospital lottery, and only 1,500 tickets were printed. The grand prize is a 2012 Ford Mustang convertible.

You can still get tickets for the main draw. They cost $100 each or three for $250, available at Jerome Flowers and Gifts, Scotiabank, Montgomery Ford, or by calling the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation office at 519-396-3331, Ext. 42.

All proceeds go toward the purchase of medical equipment at the Kincardine hospital.

Below is the list of Early Bird winners. If your name is on there, you will receive your ticket stub in the mail.
