It's been almost two years of hard work and dedication, plus a lot of lumber and nails, but the Kincardine Lions Club is nearing the completion of its north boardwalk project. The boardwalk begins beside the flag pole at the foot of Harbour Street, and runs to the edge of the Pavilion at the foot of Durham Street, with a ramp to the ground. Along the boardwalk, there are benches and planters, with ramps to access ground level at various areas. There are a total of 1,160 engraved boards in the project, said co-ordinator Dennis Flavell. And that will be all for now since the shop teacher and technical program at Kincardine District Secondary School have been suspended. Flavell said there would be an order for more than 200 additional engraved boards if the shop program resumes.
