Each year, runners, walkers, cyclists and roller-bladers take part in the annual Terry Fox Run in Saugeen Shores in support of Cancer Research.

The Saugeen Shores run is one of the few that operates without any coproate sponsorship and 87 cents of every dollar contributed goes toward research.

This year, the 31st anniversary of Terry's run, held in more than 40 countries, had approximately 150 participants in Saugeen Shores where the race started at Northshore Park in Port Elgin on Sunday, September 18 (2011).
