Thursday, September 15 (2011) began with unusual weather. Sunny breaks soon grew into dark ominous skies that brought winds, rain, thunder and several bouts of hail.
Piper's Glen Golf Course in Port Elgin ... where is the golf ball? The ground was white with hailstones and one driver who travelled from Owen Sound to Saugeen Shores said that Highway 21 was very slippery with ice-covered sections. Temperatures remained cool throughout the day with winds and threatening clouds.
