Attention: Editor Liz Dadson Great article, "Quality of Kincardine hospital food questioned". I am going to contact the South Bruce Grey Health Centre chief executive officer, Paul Davies, by E-mail and and will see if I get an answer. At the Kincardine hospital, there are no meals for people who are on special diets. You have only the choice of two meals, take it or leave it attitude. I have talked to many people in Kincardine and area and all said that they agree with me. One person told me that she was on a diet of no dairy products but was served milk and cereal and cheese. Others in hospital over the summer have complained. When someone is sick, he/she has to have proper meals served so as to be able to get well. If you have a friend in hospital, go and visit at meal times and see for yourself. Then send a complaint to the minister of health. If the hospital board had not cut out some departments to save money it would have more money coming in. The hospital board should take a leaf out of Lee Iaccoca's book - he took no salary for a year so Chrysler could get back on its feet. Davies should have his salary cut in half and that would mean more money for better food.

The nurses are run off their feet because of cutbacks. Kincardine hospital should go it alone and leave the group it was amalgamated with (South Bruce Grey Health Centre). Sheila
