The rides are set up, the exhibits are ready, let the fair begin. Make sure you come out to Tiverton and enjoy the 150th annual Tiverton Fall Fair. Friday night at the Whitney Crawford Community Centre, the Ambassador of the Fair competition begins at 8 p.m. The night also includes family entertainment, the auction of prize-winning pies and cakes, The parade begins Saturday at noon, featuring the 2011-12 ambassador and runners-up, pipe band, Traces Steelband, Bruce Shrine Motorcade, Mocha Mini-Choppers Shrine Club, clowns, floats, antique vehicles and much more. Also on Saturday enjoy breakfast sponsored by the Lions Club, the saddle horse show, antique truck, car and motorcycle show and shine, Dickie Bird, lawn and garden tractor pull at 2 p.m., needle in a hay stack at 1 p.m., kids' scavenger hunt, kiddie pedal pull at 3 p.m., miniature horse show, golf cart challenge, poultry show, rock climbing wall, Lions cake wheel, Peter Irwin (Elvis), kids robotics club, wrestling, and Classic Amusements midway. Musical entertainment Saturday night features “Late Night Radio,” and there is local entertainment in the Lions Hall. Saturday night fall fair dance, 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., to Crazymaker. Also, check out the Lions Hall on Sunday from 2-4:30 p.m. for the Ladies Program. There will be makeovers and decorating advice.
