Five contestants vying for title
of Tiverton Fall Fair ambassador

Five young people are competing to become this year's Tiverton Fall Fair ambassador.

The contest runs this Friday night at the Whitney Crawford Community Centre.

The contestants are as follows:

Nicki Bertin

Nicki Bertin, 16, is sponsored by Ross Young Bus Lines. The daughter of Bryan and Karen Bertin attends Kincardine District Secondary School and enjoys hockey, snowboarding and horseback riding, as well as four-wheeling and spending time with family and friends. Shei plans to study business at college in the future.

 

Justine Buchler

Justine Buchler, 18, is the daughter of Julia Buchler and Steve McConville and is sponsored by the Tiverton and District Lions Club. Justine enjoys playing hockey, volleyball and swimming. Kincardine District Secondary School is glad to have her as entertainment co-ordinator and she plans to continue working at the Davidson Centre and Bulk Barn during her fifth year at KDSS year before leaving for university next fall.

Jaclyn McBride

Jaclyn McBride is the 17-year-old daughter of George and Anne McBride of RR 5, Kincardine and is sponsored by Montgomery Ford in Kincardine. Jaclyn enjoys figure skating, as well as competitive synchronized figure skating and volunteering in her community. This Kincardine District Secondary School student plans to stay for an extra year before going on to post-secondary school for a Bachelor of Science degree.

James Rice

James Rice of Tiverton is sponsored by Bumper’s Pizza and Subs. Grandson of Tom and Cheryl Wragg, James was the deputy prime minister of his school’s student council as well as captain of his cheerleading team. James enjoys running, swimming and keeping up on world events. He hopes to attend university to go into law and eventually become the Prime Minister of Canada.




Heather Tovey

Heather Tovey is the daughter of Helen and Brian Tovey of RR 1, Tiverton. Heather has a passion for photography, sports and enjoys living on a farm with lots of fresh air and a great view at night of the stars. Currently at Kincardine District Secondary School, Heather would like to attend university to become a physiotherapist. The King’s Pearl in Tiverton is Heather’s sponsor.
