Celebrating Legion Week
featuring events of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 183, Kincardine

The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 183, Kincardine launched Legion Week festivities with a parade Sunday afternoon.

Led by the Kincardine Scottish Pipe Band, the parade marched from Victoria Park to the Legion Hall and featured the Legion Colour Party, Legion members, the Legion hockey team, and local veterans who rode in convertibles through the parade route.

Legion Week activities continue daily until Oct. 1. All members of the community are welcome to attend any or all of the following events:

  • Tuesday, Sept. 27 - 7 p.m. - “Fun Dart Night Challenge”
  • Wednesday, Sept. 28 - 7 p.m. - “Shooter Challenge Evening”
  • Thursday, Sept. 29 - 7 p.m. - Bingo with BBQ starting at 5:30 p.m.. $1,000 must go
  • Friday, Sept. 30 - 6 p.m. - “Delicious Pasta dinner, $10 each
  • Friday, Sept. 30 - 8:30 p.m. - Blues Dance to “Andre and the J-Tones”, $10 per ticket

Dinner and dance tickets available at Jerome's, Quinn's, Winning Booth and Legion.

  • Saturday, Oct. 1, - 2 p.m. - “Extra Meat Draw with lots of extra prizes , BBQ food and entertainment.

Because of renovations, all activities will be held in the hall.

Come out and help us celebrate “Legion Week” and also enjoy a social experience!
