The La Leche League of Kincardine is marking its first anniversary with a celebration Saturday, Oct. 1, 10:30 a.m. at the Kincardine Library.

There will be door prizes to be won, refreshments, cake and a lovely art exhibit. Everyone is welcome.

La Leche League is a group that advocates breastfeeding and provides mother-to-mother support under the guidance of an accredited leader. Mothers learn to nurse their babies by being with other nursing mothers, and by sharing their triumphs and pitfalls.

The Kincardine celebration features an exclusive photographic art exhibit aimed at providing support, information and sparking discussion about breastfeeding. A worldwide latch commences at 11 a.m.

If you are interested in joining this dynamic group of women – La Leche League Kincardine is open to all women - pregnant, nursing or not, contact Jenn at lllkincardine@live.ca. The group meets the last Monday of each month and new members are always welcome.
