Sixty-five years ago today, October 12th, Neil and Lorraine Sinclair were married in the village of Paisley, Bruce County at the United Church. A long-time Bruce County family, their lives are filled with the history of the region.
One of the last barn-raisings in the region, in fact, took place on the family farm in May of 1940. It was a time when neighbours and friends came together to help each other out and, when the Sinclair barn burned down, they did just that, coming from miles around to help build a new barn for the family. Today, Neil and Lorraine Sinclair live in Southampton and have two sons, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
