KDSS wins team plaque
at BAA tennis tournament

The Bluewater Athletic Association (BAA) tennis tournament was held Wednesday (Oct. 5) at the Southampton Tennis Club. 

Nine schools attended, and the events ran at two sites, the town and Warder courts. The weather was fantastic.

The results are as follows:

Boys Singles:

  • 1st, David Constantinescu, SDSS
  • 2nd, Jacob Siekierski, KDSS
  • 3rd, Justin Viljakainen, GHSS

Girls Singles:

  • 1st, Cecilia Bonfigvo, GHSS
  • 2nd, Margot Treidlinger, KDSS
  • 3rd, Chiara Delas Armas, SHSS

Boys Doubles:

  • 1st, Riley Schoettler & Pascal Baumann, SDSS
  • 2nd, Sanjay Nema & Paul Boyadjian, KDSS
  • 3rd, Andrew Kool & Franklin Vickers, GBSS

Girls Doubles:

  • 1st, Colleen Martindale & Cassaundra Bridge, BPDS
  • 2nd, Mollie Weichel & Maddie Weichel, SDSS
  • 3rd, Mercedes Battler & Allie Mohr, KDSS

Mixed Doubles:

  • 1st, Jim Gripekoven & Delphine de Borrekens, KDSS
  • 2nd, Charles McCannell & Justine Mayne, GHSS
  • 3rd, Cass Walden & Latasha Millette, SDSS
1st and 2nd place move on to CWOSSA in Waterloo on Oct. 13, at the Northfield Racquet Club.

The team plaque went to KDSS with 52 points.

2nd place was SDSS with 47 points, and GHSS came 3rd with 32 points.
