With the cold weather, brings the action at the Tiverton Sports Centre to life. This season welcomes the new arena management, Debbie and Ron Simmons. Come up and cheer on the local teams. More information on the games and happenings of the teams will be posted on the Tiverton Minors Sports website. The Kincardine Legion will be holding the Tiverton Remembrance Day Ceremony on Sunday, Nov. 6, at 2 p.m., at the cenotaph in Tiverton. Participants should arrive at 1:45 p.m. There will be a Flu Shot Clinic Tuesday, Oct. 25, from 2-6 p.m., at the Tiverton Lions Hall. Please bring your health card and wear short sleeves. Library News "Story Time" Friday morning at 11 a.m., all-age children are welcome. The "Other Book Club" is reading "Fall on your Knees" by Anne-Marie MacDonald. The club's next meeting is Thursday, Nov. 10. There is free Wireless Internet available and free computer lessons. For more information, or to book a lesson, call 519-368-5655. Knox Church News Fall is a great time to enjoy a wonderful home-cooked meal and there is nothing like the turkey supper that the Knox Presbyterian Church hosts. The supper will be held Tuesday, Nov. 1, from 4:30-6:30 p.m., at the Whitney Crawford Community Centre. Do you love to sing? Come join the Tiverton Community Youth Choir for children ages seven to 13, Thursday, Oct. 20, at 6:30 p.m., at the Tiverton Knox Presbyterian Church. The Knox Presbyterian Church will be celebrating its 152nd Anniversary Sunday, Oct. 23, at 10:30 a.m. A lunch will follow the morning service. "Angels Among Us" is a special thank you service for the volunteers in the community. It will be held Sunday, Oct. 23, at 7 p.m., in the Knox Presbyterian Church. For more information, contact Rev. WMS The October meeting of the Tiverton Women's Missionary Society was called to order by Doris Young Wednesday, Oct. 12, in the church activity room. The six members in attendance answered the roll call with a Thanksgiving verse. The minutes were read by Donna Williams, and Jean Dent gave the treasurer's report. The offering was dedicated by Ruby Brown. The topic "Refugees of Afghanistan" was presented by Alberta Smith. Doris Young closed the meeting with a verse titled "Thought".
