The Winterhawks are pleased to announce the

signing of Saugeen Shores native, Greg Virgo.

Virgo, 23, who played last season for the Tavistock

Royals, is a 6’2” 201 lbs forward.   In 22 games with the

Royals, he scored 20 goals and added 29 assists for 49

points placing him among the top ten scorers in the league.

Virgo is a Saugeen Shores Minor Hockey Association

graduate who went on to a stellar Junior B career with

the Cambridge Winter Hawks.

In the 2007/08 season, he tallied 57 points in 48 games

for Cambridge while, in 2008/09 he scored 52 goals and

added 44 assists for 96 points in 51 games.

He also played 10 games for Neumann Universityin Division

III of the NCAA where he collected 7 points.
