The annual Rotary Winter Draw has been launched for 2011-12 and, once again, the proceeds will be going to a major cause, the Digital Mammography Campaign for the purchase of needed mammography equipment.

Draw tickets at $20 each are now on sale in Saugeen Shores.

  • First draw will be the Early Bird Draw on Wednesday December 14th for $250.00
  • 2 Weekly Draws (for 20 draws) of $25 each commencing on Wednesday  January 11 to May 23rd, 2012
  • The final Grand Draw will be May 30th, 2012 for $1000.00.

In the past, Rotary has raised approximately $6000 each year with proceeds going to community projects, such as the Rotary Accessibility Playground in Southampton.

The target this year however, is to sell a minimum of 620 tickets, which will result in a donation of some $10,000 to the Mammography Campaign and will be in addition to monies raised for the Foundation through other fund raising efforts such as the Huron Shores Run that resulted in more than $11,000 being donated to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation.

Tickets are available through Rotary members, at Square Deal Neil's or Harrigan's 100 Mile Food Market in Southampton or Mary Ann Weickert of the Southampton Hospital Foundation.
