Jack Nancekivell had his first cheque acceptance as the new president of the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation, Wednesday morning at the Kincardine Legion. Presenting the cheque for $1,000 was Legion president Maureen Couture, and joining Nancekivell in receiving the donation were past-president Gregg McClelland and new vice-president Mary Hall. The money is part of the proceeds from the Legion's bingo charity fund, said Couture. The funding goes toward the foundation's major project: three drug-dispensing carts, at a total cost of $150,000. McClelland said that with the recent radiothon fund-raising and other donations, the project cost is well within reach.
