Trillium Court Seniors' Community in Kincardine hosted the Kincardine and District Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours event Thursday night, Nov. 10.

Chamber members enjoyed a tour of the facility, along with refreshments, and an introduction to the new lifestyle consultant, Heike Boettcher

Originally from Calgary, Alberta, Boettcher was the area sales manager for Air Canada Vacations. She moved to Ontario four years ago and has been living in Goderich where she worked at The Bean.

The job at Trillium Court came up and Boettcher says that with her 17 years of sales experience, it was the perfect opportunity. She started her new job Oct. 1.

"I love new challenges and decided to take on this one," she says.

Her parents retired to a cottage south of Amberley and her father died four years ago, so Boettcher now stays with her mom and rents out her Goderich home.

She says about a dozen rooms at Trillium Court have been renovated and she urges people to check them out and see if this type of independent retirement living is for them.

Boettcher can be reached at 519-396-4400, Ext. 2017, or by E-mail at Heike.Boettcher@revealiving.com

Trillium Court has 24 independent apartments, 35 assisted-living suites, and 40 long-term care beds.

Boettcher says most of the facility has been renovated over the past couple of years. Next on the list is the third floor, the coffee shop and the dining room.

Enjoying refreshments at the Chamber Business After Hours at Trillium Court are Charlene Clayton (L), Linda Bowers and Stan Pickles
