To the Editor:

According to "Brian," a Point Clark cottager, he's "fine with wind power if it is kept on the land."

How inconsiderate!

Wind turbines on water must be five kilometres from shore. Last time I looked, nobody lives five kilometres off-shore, but it's quite okay to put them 550 metres from a person's house on-shore.

A cottager has to endure them for only part of the year. A person living on land has to endure them all year-round.

Since these monstrosities must be paired with fossil generation to make them work, they don't belong anywhere.

It's a corporate wind scam, period.
