To the Editor:

I am very pleased to see the letter concerning the gates at the hospital and also the terrible food service!

AND it is sent to all and sundry, and signed by all 12 doctors! Wonderful.

How is anyone with a sick child, parent, spouse, or whatever, going to get them the help they need, in a hurry, when they have to stop for a ticket, before being allowed to proceed to the the ER!!!! That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of. All the hospital board obviously wants is 'our' money to park.

Well, if they only knew how many people get a ride to the hospital for whatever service they require, or to the medical centre for attention! Then a telephone call will get their ride back to pick them up. Trust me, it happens many times.

The food service is not what it should be. I have not been a patient nor want to be to taste the food, but what happens if someone is admitted through ER, what happens to a diabetic, or a Celiac, or anyone else requiring a special diet?!

It is time the hospital board realized that it needs the doctors and staff and the decent meals, and not be so worried about the parking fee!

We HAD a wonderful caring staff, cafeteria, lots of services available in Kincardine hospital, but it is slowly going by the wayside, thanks to chief executive officer Paul Davies!

Ever since he took over the title of CEO, things have gone down the tubes!

Sincerely,

Joan Hartwick
Kincardine
