The Kincardine Physicians Group wants the South Bruce Grey Health Centre board to address problems with the gated access and poor quality food at the Kincardine hospital site.

The board appears to be unaware or unconcerned about these issues, particularly the liability with regard to the limited access to the emergency department.

As for the off-site frozen meals, the physicians group says that patients are not eating the stuff, and it does not meet the minimum dietary standard for a hospital.

The letter is addressed to Don Bushell, chairman of the hospital board, and is signed by all 12 doctors working at the Kincardine Community Medical Clinic and the hospital.

It was also sent to Kincardine council, the Ontario Ministry of Health, Huron-Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson, and to local and national media.
