The South Bruce Grey Health Centre has purchased a software upgrade for the CT scanner at its Walkerton site that will reduce the average patient’s exposure to medical radiation by 40 per cent and expand the department’s service to include cardiac CT scans. The $285,000 software upgrade increases patient safety significantly and has brought the CT scanner up to the most current industry standards. The new software will be implemented Monday, Nov. 21.
