The building that once housed Southampton's De Long's drugstore is no more.  All that remains, as of today Tuesday, November 22 (2011) is the front facade.

From the front, the building now resembles a Hollywood set with only the facade standing while from behind there is nothing left ... except rubble.

While to some it's the end of an era, to others it is the potential improvement of the main street.

There are many rumours regarding the building, including that it will be developed with 'boutique type' stores on the main floor with apartments above.

Saugeen Times will continue to monitor the situation.
