The mummy, Djedmaatesankh

The mystery of 6000 years of Eqyptian history has come to Saugeen Shores at the Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre (BCMCC) in Southampton.

The reproduction of mummy, Djedmaatesankh, a  musician of the temple of Amon-Re at Thebes, lies as she has for more than a thousand years.

The richness of Egypt rested "in the bounty of the River Nile".  It fed the families of Egypt and lead to its cultural development through farming and, now, at the Bruce County Museum visitors can view first-hand the ancient life of Egypt.
