Kincardine District Secondary School and Sacred Heart High School played to a 4-4 draw Thursday afternoon in Bluewater Athletic Association (BAA) boys hockey action. The teams played an entertaining, fast-paced game in Walkerton that saw SHHS lead 2-1 after the first period and KDSS up 4-3 after two. This was a rematch of last week’s BAA regular season opener in Kincardine, which the Knights took by a 6-2 score. Jake Bross scored twice and added an assist for SHHS, the defending BAA champs. Jarrett Kuntz and Garret Weigle each scored once. Kincardine got goals from Jory Norman, Riley Cook, Brad Mangotich and Mitch Dickson, while Garrett McFadden was in on three of the four KDSS goals. The Knights (1-0-1) are in Hanover Dec. 1, to play the John Diefenbaker Secondary School Trojans at 2 p.m. KDSS will also play in the annual Norwell District Redmen tournament Dec. 2-3.
