Kincardine improved to 2-0-1 in Bluewater Athletic Association (BAA) boy s hockey Thursday afternoon with a 4-0 shut-out win in Hanover.

The Kincardine District Secondary School Knights scored three second-period goals against the John Diefenbaker Secondary School Trojans, and Easton Battler stopped every shot he faced for the shut-out and his second win of the season.

Gerrit Satosek notched the eventual game-winner on a second-period powerplay from Mitch Dickson and Ryker Killins. 

Keegan McLelland and Dickson then scored back-to-back goals in the final two minutes of the frame to make it 3-0. McLelland buried a great pass from Killins, while Dickson converted a set-up from Satosek.

Austin Rees made it 4-0 when he scored into an empty net with 1:30 remaining in the game.

KDSS will be in Palmerston Friday at the Norwell District Redmen tournament. The Knights will face Oakridge at 11:10 a.m., the host Redmen at 1:50 p.m. and Huron Heights at 7:10 p.m. Friday night.

Next regular season game for the Knights is Wednesday in Walkerton against the WDSS Raiders.
