The Bruce Children are Special Foundation still needs help with the Christmas programs this year.

Each year, the foundation coordinates two Christmas programs: Christmas Hampers and Adopt-A-Family. Last year about 300 children received a hamper, and 32 families were adopted. A grand total of 409 children received something under the tree.

“This year, donations seems to be down compared to other years, and we really need additional help,” says Cherie Borho, Administrator to the Bruce Children are Special Foundation. “We are so very lucky to have the support we do have but we are still coming up short for both our programs.”

The Bruce Children are Special Foundation needs hamper items for teens and babies, as well as family games (11 years and up). We are also in desperate need of cash donations. “This program is a very expensive program to run. This year we have budgeted at just under $18,000 and we need some help to meet that budget.”

We also need four more sponsors for our Adopt-A-Family program who are currently on a wait list for a family.

It isn’t too late to make a donation, any help is very much appreciated. Donations can be made by cheque, or through www.canadahelps.org Feel free to call 1-888-807-7773 ext. 262 for more information, or visit the website at www.brucecas.ca/foundation
